Hi. I live in Sudbrook ( NOT Sudbrooke!), and the BT DSL checker tells me that I am connected to the Ancaster exchange. I am assuming that this means that I am on an exchange-only line; I estimate that we are approximately 3/4 of a mile from the exchange. The On Lincolnshire postcode checker has us in phase 5 but can you confirm my fears that we will see no benefit from the current FTTC programme? Or do you have plans for Ancaster EO lines?

Good Morning Stephen,
Thanks for taking time to contact us.
we are planning to work on Ancaster EO lines in both Phases 5 & 6 of this project, so we will be making improvements between now and the end of September.
We should get a clearer view of progress during March and we will be happy to keep you updated.

Steve

Thanks.

Hi Steve,
Do you have an update on Ancaster EO lines, in particular the further away ones in Sudbrook?
Author:
Stephen Brookes
Good Morning Stephen and Simon,
Thanks for writing in to us.
we are due to complete Ancaster EO lines before 30th June. The latest I have from BT suggests that they are on course to deliver this.
As soon as we get a little more detail, we will update the website.

Hi Steve,
Any chance of a little more detail on Ancaster EO lines? My particular concern is that if the solution is to re-route to existing cabs or site a new cab outside the exchange then those of us at a distance (Sudbrook) will see no benefit from our current 2-3 mb service...

Hi,
Any update?
Thanks.

Good Morning Simon,
We are having some problems cabling into Ancaster with delays caused by an issue where 'Natural England' are involved. We have now gained permission from them to carry on with cabling activities and we will have more news in a couple of weeks when this work is hopefully completed.

Hi Steve,
You told me that Ancaster EO lines would be incorporated into a new cabinet. Do you have an update on when/where ? Does it have any relationship to Ancaster 4?
Author:
Stephen Brookes
Hi Stephen,
Ancaster 4 is part of the normal plans, but we do have two additional cabinets which are due by 30th September and which incorporate the EO lines.
We will get another update this week and publish accordingly.

Steve

Hi,
Any update on the Ancaster EO lines?
Thanks.

Hi Simon
We are still expecting them to come in very soon and I have nothing to suggest that there are any significant delays. As soon as I get an update from BT I will post it on here.

Steve,
We don't seem to be connected to Ancaster 6 here in Sudbrook unlike other EO lines in Ancaster. Is there still a plan to connect us and will we benefit given the distance involved?

Steve

Good Morning Stephen,
The cabinet connecting the Ancaster EO lines still isn't 'Live'. It is engineering complete and we are expecting it to be able to accept orders for faster broadband within the next two weeks. At that point, we should be able to see what is available for you.

Ancaster 6 is live and accepting orders. I've placed mine!

That's great Simon; unfortunately all of us in Sudbrook are still not connected...
It would be nice if onlincolnshire would even confirm that we will be at some point....

Hello Stephen
Thank you for your message. Some EO lines in Sudbrook are going to be included according to BT, but we are unsure of timescales as it is likely that this will be in Project 2 which we have not yet had sight of.
Thanks
Naomi

As another fellow Sudbrook resident on an EO line who is still unable to register for Fibre, can I now safely assume that we too will not be able to receive it until Project 2, if at all?
Slightly frustrating that for the last 9 months, right up until post #18 in this thread, the impression was that all Ancaster EO lines would be connected as part of Phase 5/6, now they "might" be connected in Project 2. Appreciate it's not the fault of you guys at onlincolnshire, but I'm sure you'll understand the frustration!

Ian

Good Morning Ian,
I appreciate your frustration and apologise for the long wait, but we will look to pick up as many lines as possible in Phase 2 and we will publish details as soon as they are finalised.

Hi again Steve, disappointed to see that having not been included in Phase 2 the Ancaster EO lines are not included in Phase 3 either so still no possibility of fibre in Sudbrook.
The BT Openreach website indicates "You're in a plan to get Superfast fibre but we haven't started work yet" - if we're not in Phase 3 then what plan is this?

Ian

Good Morning Ian,
According to BT, your postcode is showing as already upgraded. Clearly it isn't and I have asked the question again this morning.
I cannot understand why the records are inaccurate and have asked BT to take another look.

Thanks Steve, did you get a response from BT regarding the incorrect records for our postcode? Is there any hint as to whether we may be considered for faster broadband?

Hi Steve,
I guess there's still no hope for the Ancaster EO lines getting fibre? Did you ever get a response from BT as to why their records are incorrect?
Cheers

Good Morning Ian,
BT are still trying to sort things out. Sadly, their planning guys seem to be swamped with work at the moment, but we will keep pressing.

Hi again Steve,
Is there any hope of the Ancaster EO lines getting fibre? I'm assuming not given the cost/benefit to Openreach?
Best regards,

Good Afternoon Ian,
We are currently looking at a set of proposals which include upgrading Ancaster EO lines feeding towards Sudbrook. We are still in the early stages of planning and will know more in early June.

Hi Steve,
Is there any update on the Ancaster EO lines please? Back in March it was mentioned that you would know more by June 18?

Good Afternoon Ian,
Unfortunately, BT are behind the game in terms of deployment, both here in this county and indeed across most of the UK.
That said, we are looking to complete during this calendar year, but if not, very early in the New Year.

Hello Steve
I have emailed you directly too but thought i ought to share the question here...
Sudbrook and West Willoughby (NG32 area)
It’s been a while since we had an update on fibre broadband to our hamlet.
We see that a set of green cabinets have been installed at the junction with Rookery Lane and the A153 and wondered whether this is it for us and when we might expect it to go live please?
Kind regards
Mano
