South Holland app released to promote district towns

The 'Towns of South Holland App' has been by produced by South Holland District Council to promote retail sectors in the district and give residents and visitors a quick and easy way to get the goods, services and information they require.

The free app can be downloaded from the Google Play store or the Apple App store.

Spalding, Holbeach, Crowland, Long Sutton, Sutton Bridge and Donington towns are featured, each with their own dedicated section within the app.

Each section covers what's on, what to do, where to eat, where to shop, where to stay, services and an A-Z search.

There is also a general section which lists local news and weather and will give businesses the opportunity to promote their special offers.

Cllr Nick Worth, South Holland District Council's Portfolio Holder for Business Growth, said: "Using a phone app is now second nature for many people and we wanted to create an App that would specifically help businesses, residents and visitors to South Holland.

"There are many different apps out there, but this is unique because it covers local communities and allows users to get the information they need quickly.

"We are committed to helping the South Holland economy to grow and develop and are confident that Town App will play a successful role in this."
